Home Highs

Sorry for the blog silence recently.

Most of you know we are back in the States now…adjusting, settling, visiting, processing…

Eli was recently seen by a Pediatric Neurologist for his Cerebral Palsy and we were very encouraged by the report…we’ll share more on that later.

For now, I’ll leave you with some “Highs” we’ve experienced while being home:

  • Air conditioner
  • Bacon
  • Dairy products
  • Unlimited soda refills…seriously.
  • Washing machine & Dryer
  • Target
  • No malaria medication, no mosquito nets
  • Salmon
  • The beach
  • L.A. Kings hockey

That’s why I always count the blessings I have received from God. I can remember dating a girl who lived in a Detroit suburb in the 60’s with no indoor plumbing. Same was true of my cousins in Oklahoma in the 50’s. I was small enough to get my Saturday night bath in a metal wash tub. Once got a case of chiggers so bad they were on my body in a place the sun don’t shine. They finally died when I came home to Detroit later that summer. Whew.
When I was going to University in Detroit, in the 70’s We had to heat our place with a coal furnace in the basement.
By the way, I’m part of the GBC Go-Team going to Mexico City in late July. Got my vaccinations updated. It would be fun to touch base with you guys sometime while you’re in SCV. So far this year we’ve seen the Oggs from PNG, Schwambs from BD, Beckwiths who are going back to Western Asia, Malakars from India later this month.
God continue to bless and watch over you.
    Bill

Love your list, except for the unlimited soda, but whatever floats your boat! Hope you enjoy your time back in Santa Clarita.

Every time you leave a comment our baby smiles.
